The Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has conducted a comprehensive fumigation exercise across selected Primary Health Centres (PHCs) as part of its sustained commitment to promoting public health and maintaining a clean, safe healthcare environment.

The exercise, carried out by the Council’s Environment Department on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), covered Magbon Segun Primary Health Centre, Idasho Primary Health Centre, Idotun Primary Health Centre, and Okunraye Primary Health Centre.

The fumigation exercise was aimed at eliminating pests and disease-carrying insects while ensuring a healthier and more conducive environment for patients, healthcare workers, and visitors accessing medical services at the facilities.

The initiative underscores the Kasali-led administration’s dedication to maintaining quality healthcare infrastructure and upholding acceptable environmental and public health standards across the council area. It also forms part of the Council’s preventive healthcare strategy designed to support the effective delivery of primary healthcare services.

Lekki LCDA reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the wellbeing of residents through consistent environmental sanitation and public health interventions that contribute to healthier communities and improved healthcare service delivery.
