Agbala Youth Forum Mid-Year Football Competition, sponsored by Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), honoured outstanding teams and players following the successful conclusion of the football tournament aimed at promoting youth development, sportsmanship and community engagement.

Pyramid FC emerged champions and received the star prize of ₦500,000, while 4Dee FC finished as first runners-up to earn ₦300,000. Indomie FC claimed the second runners-up position with a cash prize of ₦150,000, while No Time FC finished as third runners-up and received ₦50,000.

Individual excellence was also rewarded as Ipaye was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) and received a ₦30,000 cash prize. David Odey of 4Dee FC emerged as the Highest Goal Scorer and was rewarded with ₦50,000, while Abdulai of Indomie FC won the Golden Glove Award and received ₦20,000.

The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Hon. Ameen Olawale Apanishile Ibrahim, presented the trophies, medals and cash prizes to the winners. Speaking at the presentation, the Mayor described football as a powerful tool for promoting unity, peace and social cohesion among young people in the community. He noted that beyond the excitement of the competition, the tournament provided an opportunity for youths to discover and showcase their talents, build friendships, embrace discipline and teamwork, and channel their energy towards productive ventures. He reaffirmed the commitment of Ikorodu North LCDA to supporting sports development and youth-focused initiatives that will continue to inspire, empower and positively engage young people across the council area.

Also present at the award presentation were the Councillor representing Agbala Ward E3, Hon. Risikat Juwon Olobi; the Baale of Agbala Otuja Community, His Majesty Chief Kazeem Olokunola; the Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ikorodu North Local Branch, Comrade Adewale Jackson; the Chief of Staff, Ikorodu North Local Council, Hon. Mayowa Mojeed, alongside other dignitaries and community leaders who witnessed the event.
