The Legislative Arm of Igbogbo-Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has announced the passing of Hon. Habib Adekunle Anifowoshe, the Councillor representing Ward C5 (Elepe/Igbe) in the council.

According to the statement signed by the Council Leader, Princess Basirat Adetutu Banjoko, the Legislative Arm described Anifowoshe as a dedicated public servant and valued member whose commitment to public service and contributions to the development and effective representation of his constituents would be remembered with deep appreciation.

The statement described his death as a profound loss to his immediate family, constituents, colleagues, friends and the entire Igbogbo-Bayeku community.

The Legislative Arm disclosed that the burial would take place tomorrow, Monday, September 7, 2026, in accordance with Islamic rites.

While extending heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, relatives, friends, constituents, colleagues and associates, the council prayed to Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus and give his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“May Allah grant him eternal rest and admit him into Al-Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen,” the statement added.
