Lagos Grassroots Alliance (LGA) has begun a new chapter in its journey of grassroots engagement, reaffirming its commitment to community development with a renewed identity, broader vision, and expanded mission to strengthen participation and sustainable development across Lagos State.
The organisation described its new identity as more than a rebranding exercise, saying it represents a renewed commitment to expanding its reach, fostering stronger collaboration between government and the people, and ensuring that every ward and community has a voice in the state’s development.
According to the Alliance, its broader vision is to build a stronger grassroots movement that connects every ward, every community, and every corner of Lagos State, while encouraging residents to take an active role in governance and community-building.
The group reaffirmed that its mission remains centred on grassroots development, noting that lasting progress begins within local communities. It stressed that sustainable development can only be achieved through consistent community engagement and partnerships that promote inclusive participation.
Reiterating its guiding principles, the Alliance declared that every ward matters, every community counts, and every voice matters, adding that stronger communities are built when government and citizens work together towards shared goals.
The organisation also maintained that no community should be left behind in the pursuit of a greater Lagos, describing grassroots involvement as the foundation for inclusive growth and long-term development across the state.
The official unveiling of the renewed identity is scheduled for July 17, 2026, as the Alliance embarks on a new phase dedicated to strengthening communities, expanding grassroots participation, and advancing collaborative development initiatives.
With the theme, “A New Identity. A Broader Vision. A Stronger Grassroots Movement,” the Lagos Grassroots Alliance reaffirmed its resolve to continue empowering communities under its slogan, “Sustaining Stronger Communities… Together.”
