
The Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, has flagged off the 4th Edition of the Free ICT Training Programme, reaffirming her administration’s commitment to empowering residents with digital skills for employment, entrepreneurship, and economic growth.
Speaking at the official flag-off ceremony, Princess Bada described the initiative as another milestone in the council’s efforts to equip youths and other residents with practical digital competencies needed to succeed in today’s technology-driven world.
She explained that the three-month training programme will offer participants hands-on instruction in Computer Appreciation, Web Development, Data Analysis, Cyber Security, Digital Marketing, Social Media Monetization, Design and Multimedia, IT Networking and Security, as well as Cloud Fundamentals.
The Mayoress urged participants to make the most of the opportunity by attending every class, asking questions, and diligently applying the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the programme.
Princess Bada emphasized that investing in people remains one of the greatest priorities of her administration, assuring residents that the council would continue to implement programmes that empower youths and prepare them for future opportunities.
She also encouraged beneficiaries to share the impact of the initiative with their families and communities, noting that the programme reflects the Renewed Hope Agenda’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities through digital empowerment. She called for continued support for the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu beyond 2027 to sustain initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.
Expressing confidence in the participants, Princess Bada said the knowledge and skills they would acquire over the next three months could transform their future and create pathways to better careers and businesses.
She thereafter officially declared the 4th Edition of the Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada Free ICT Training Programme open and wished all participants a successful and rewarding learning experience.
