Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA Commences Free GCE Form Distribution to Support Students and Families ~Ajasa-Info

Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), under the leadership of Executive Chairman, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has commenced the distribution of free GCE forms to students across the council.

The initiative, which is being carried out at the Council Secretariat in Igbogbo, is targeted at indigent and deserving students who are academically prepared to sit for the examination but may be unable to afford the registration fees.

The exercise, implemented as part of the administration’s GLORY Agenda, is aimed at promoting educational development and youth empowerment while reducing the financial burden on parents and guardians.

The council said the provision of the forms would help remove financial barriers that could prevent qualified students from participating in the examination, particularly amid prevailing economic challenges.

The distribution exercise was witnessed by the Council Manager and the Supervisor for Education and Library Services, who are also supporting the implementation of the programme.

In addition to providing the examination forms, the council is making academic support available to beneficiaries through the offices of the Supervisor for Education and Library Services and the Special Adviser on Student Affairs. The support includes guidance on registration and plans for preparatory tutorials to help students adequately prepare for the examination.

Beneficiaries have been encouraged to maximise the opportunity and remain committed to their studies, while parents and guardians have appreciated the council’s continued investment in education and support for families within the community.
