Premier Agribusiness Academy is set to equip livestock farmers, agribusiness investors and entrepreneurs with practical knowledge of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) production through a two-day masterclass focused on sustainable livestock feed production.
Tagged “BSF 2.0: A 2-Day Masterclass in Sustainable Livestock Feed Production,” the practical training is scheduled for September 8–9, 2026, at Choice Farms, Isheri, Lagos.
The programme is designed to help participants reduce feed costs, scale their farming operations and turn waste into wealth by exploring Black Soldier Fly production as an alternative and sustainable source of high-protein livestock feed.
BSF larvae are rich in protein and can serve as a valuable feed ingredient for tilapia fish and poultry, offering farmers an opportunity to reduce their dependence on expensive conventional feed ingredients while improving farm efficiency and sustainability.
According to the programme details, participants will receive 100 per cent practical, in-person training and will master key areas including advanced BSF breeding, commercial scale-up, feed formulation and the business of bugs.
The masterclass also presents BSF production as more than an alternative feed solution, highlighting its potential as a viable agribusiness opportunity. Participants will be exposed to opportunities in producing, processing and supplying BSF products to livestock and fish farmers.
The training is targeted at livestock farmers seeking sustainable, high-protein feed alternatives, as well as agribusiness investors and entrepreneurs looking for high-return commercial opportunities.
Participation is pegged at ₦60,000, with a starter pack included. The organisers emphasised that space is limited to allow for maximum hands-on experience.
The masterclass reflects the growing importance of innovation, alternative feed resources and cost reduction in modern agriculture, while providing participants with practical skills that can help create additional income streams and build sustainable agribusiness ventures.
