Princess Basirat Adetutu Banjoko, Councillor representing Ward C1 and Council Leader, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, has commenced a three-week free skill acquisition training for residents of the community.

The training, organised in collaboration with The New Era Project, commenced on Monday, August 17, 2026, with participants receiving practical training in Home Essentials, Catering and Food Making, Tie and Dye, Event Management and Decoration, Make-up and Gele, Hairstyling, Fabric and Souvenir Making, Nylon Making, Turban and Hair Fascinator, as well as Shoe Making.

The programme is taking place at Adeboruwa Palace, Igbogbo Kingdom, and will run until September 4, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The initiative is aimed at equipping participants with practical skills to promote self-reliance, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment within the community.
