QuickMed Araya, a digital healthcare and telemedicine platform, has launched its Campus Ambassador Programme, targeting students across universities in Lagos State as part of efforts to promote digital healthcare awareness and accessibility among young people.

The programme is designed to empower passionate and socially conscious students to become representatives of the Araya healthcare movement within their respective campuses.

Through the initiative, selected campus ambassadors will serve as a link between QuickMed Araya and student communities by creating awareness about digital healthcare, encouraging healthier lifestyles, sharing relevant health information and introducing fellow students to convenient healthcare services available through the platform.

QuickMed Araya provides users with access to healthcare professionals remotely, medical consultations and healthcare support, with the aim of making quality healthcare more accessible, convenient and affordable.

According to the initiative, the Campus Ambassador Programme goes beyond brand promotion, as it seeks to equip students with practical experience in communication, marketing, leadership, community engagement, advocacy and brand representation.

Participants will also have opportunities to expand their professional networks by connecting with fellow students, members of the Araya team and healthcare professionals, while developing leadership and teamwork skills through their activities on campus.

The programme is also expected to contribute to improved health awareness among students, particularly by encouraging young people to take their health seriously and seek appropriate medical attention when necessary.

QuickMed Araya noted that university students often have to balance lectures, assignments, examinations, work and social responsibilities, which can sometimes cause healthcare needs to be overlooked.

The company said its campus initiative is aimed at bringing awareness of digital healthcare closer to students and building campus communities where young people are better informed about their health and available healthcare options.

The Campus Ambassador Programme is open to students of universities across Lagos State, particularly those with interests in leadership, community engagement, healthcare advocacy, communication, entrepreneurship and social impact.

Applicants are not required to be studying healthcare-related courses, as the programme is open to students who demonstrate a willingness to learn, communicate effectively, take initiative and contribute positively to their communities.
