The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the Maiden National Intermediate Games (Eko 2026) is proud to officially unveil the Games’ logo and mascot, marking a major milestone in the journey towards hosting Nigeria’s premier youth sporting event from 1–15 October 2026 in Lagos State.

As the official identity of the Games, the Eko 2026 logo represents excellence, unity, resilience and the limitless potential of young Nigerian athletes. Inspired by the vibrant energy of Lagos and the spirit of competition, the logo embodies the ambition to establish Eko 2026 as a world-class sporting festival that celebrates talent, inspires dreams and unites the nation through sport.

Joining the logo is the official Eko 2026 mascot—a vibrant and energetic symbol designed to inspire young people, entertain fans and create unforgettable experiences throughout the Games. The mascot reflects the youthful character, creativity and cultural richness of Lagos while serving as a friendly ambassador for athletes, spectators, schools and communities across Nigeria.

The unveiling also marks the official launch of the Eko 2026 digital platforms, giving Nigerians and the global sporting community a central destination for news, athlete stories, competition updates, schedules, behind-the-scenes content and fan engagement activities leading up to the Games.

As preparations continue, Eko 2026 invites athletes, schools, sports enthusiasts, partners, volunteers and supporters to join the journey by following the official social media channels and participating in the nationwide #RoadToEko2026 campaign.

The Maiden National Intermediate Games will bring together young athletes from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to compete across 28 sports, creating a platform for discovering the next generation of Nigerian sporting champions while positioning Lagos as the nation’s leading destination for youth sports, talent development and sports tourism.
