The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Surulere Federal Constituency, on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, inaugurated its Ward Coordinators at a ceremony held at Eko Club Arcade, Bode Thomas, Surulere, Lagos, as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots engagement ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The event attracted political leaders and stakeholders, including the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor and Lagos State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Mr Tayo Akinmade Ayinde; representatives of the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate, the member representing Surulere Constituency I in the House of Representatives, and the Lagos State House of Assembly member representing Surulere I.

Council chairmen within the constituency, party leaders, representatives of persons with disabilities (PWDs), Arewa, Ndigbo and South-South communities, as well as members of various political groups, also attended the ceremony.

In his welcome address, the Surulere Federal Constituency Coordinator of RHA, Hon. Kabir Olajide Lawal, popularly known as Caesar, described the inauguration as a renewed commitment to taking the Renewed Hope Agenda to the grassroots.

Lawal recalled that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors were inaugurated at the state level on February 11, 2026, with a subsequent directive to establish ward coordinators to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and disseminate information about the administration’s policies and programmes.

He clarified that the ward structure was designed to complement existing party structures and support groups rather than compete with them, stressing the need for cooperation among stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.

He charged the newly inaugurated coordinators to embark on door-to-door mobilisation, engage residents in their communities, communicate the policies and achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, and canvass support for the President and other APC candidates.

Lawal described the forthcoming elections as a must-win contest for the party, urging members to learn from the shortcomings of the 2023 elections, put past disagreements behind them, and embrace unity, discipline and teamwork.

He also stressed that the mobilisation effort must cover all APC candidates, noting that electoral support should extend beyond the presidential candidate to every candidate contesting on the party’s platform.

In his remarks, the Lagos State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Mr Tayo Akinmade Ayinde, commended the constituency leadership, party stakeholders and participants for their commitment to the organisation’s activities.

Ayinde highlighted key policies and initiatives of President Tinubu’s administration, including efforts to reposition the country, strengthen the economy, improve infrastructure and create opportunities for Nigerians.

He urged the newly inaugurated Ward Coordinators to take the administration’s policies and programmes to households across Surulere, educate residents on its initiatives and sustain engagement with communities.

The state coordinator also called for unity and coordinated mobilisation among party members to secure support for President Tinubu and other APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.

The inauguration marked a step in expanding the grassroots structure of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Surulere Federal Constituency, with the newly inaugurated coordinators expected to strengthen community engagement and improve the dissemination of information about the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The ceremony ended with a call for sustained collaboration among party leaders, stakeholders and ward coordinators in advancing the organisation’s objectives ahead of the forthcoming elections.
